Intro to Competitive Cycling Clinic

Everything you need to know about riding, racing, training, and the basics to get started!

Have you ever thought about giving bike racing a try but are not quite sure how to do it? Got your sights set on longer, more challenging tour rides?  What makes racing different from fast, hard group rides?  Do other people ask you if you “race”?  Or maybe you just want to be a more proficient and skillful rider.

This clinic is aimed at the competitive-minded bike rider who would like to give bicycle racing a try, wants to be more competitive on tour rides, group rides, or simply wants to step up the riding game.  We will cover the basics of riding, as well as training for racing, specific skills needed to navigate the peloton effectively and efficiently, and the special skills needed for the different road race disciplines – Road Race, Time Trial, Criterium, and Cyclocross.

*Completion of both days counts toward upgrade for novice women and men.*
